This painting was created especially for Gallery 50’s Nature and The Landscape exhibition. I asked my father, an expert on rural country roads, locating eagles nests and finding beautiful wetlands, to help me find some reference material. We drove around in his lime green beetle for hours on a muggy July afternoon. After reaching the end of Bayside Road I got out of the car and tried many different vantage points. I finally got a great shot after leaning over the guardrail (and almost falling over).
