Collection: The Meathouse

This painting is of my husband’s family farm meathouse. I took the photograph in April of 2009 while feeding the cows. I loved how the trees were just beginning to get their leaves and the fields were just chisel plowed; the signs of spring. The weathered wood and high contrast lighting were especially interesting for me to paint.
