In November of 2009 I took a walk with my sister-in-law, Marion, down the pasture fields of my husband’s family farm. After turning around to go home, I stopped and took many reference pictures and pieced them together in Photoshop to create the composition. In the painting the back of Aldine United Methodist Church and the Smith Dairy Farm can be seen along with many other iconic family homes in Aldine.
