This painting is special because I completed it with one of my private art lesson student's. She chose to paint an Iris in acrylics because flowers are one of her favorite subject matter. I created this painting alongside of her to be able to share tips about color mixing, blending, and other techniques. Irises are one of my favorite flowers and I loved the color combination of purple and green in this composition. Creating the intricate folds and various shadows was especially enjoyable during the painting process.
