Celebrating a Student

Celebrating a Student

Recently, I had the opportunity to celebrate one of my private art lesson student’s 16th birthday. Jacey started art lessons with me when she was just 8 years old. As a homeschool student, she wanted to expand her artistic abilities. Even at such a young age, she had an undeniable talent and eye for detail. Soon after she began lessons, she told me she wanted me to be her art teacher all the way through high school. I’m not sure where the years have gone, but here we are! Next year she will be a senior and I have so many mixed emotions.

She has come weekly for art lessons exploring drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and more. My students definitely become part of our family and Jacey is no exception. It has been such an honor to watch her grow and learn over the years. I have learned just as much from her as she has from me.
